A musical legend i hope he is remember for more than chas and dave good as they where
both chas and dave played with some of the greatest muscians of all time

If you had to pigeonhole Chas and Daves music into a genre, what would you say it was? I’ve never been able to work it out.

Danny Baker said that it was essentially Folk music in a way.

I saw them a few times - Blackheath being one venue IIRC although they were split for a while, bloody brilliant.

Rockney (a portmanteau of rock and cockney), which mixes "pub singalong, music-hall humour, boogie-woogie piano and pre-Beatles rock 'n' roll".
