When I was a kid we lived down the road from him, He was not a nice man, really not, horrible to everyone, and left after a couple of years when is marriage ended. RIP.

As hilariously funny as he was I supported him at Jollees and spent an evening in his company and couldn't believe how somebody could be so different on and off stage.
His attitude towards women in the room made me feel embarrassed but things were different in the 70s, no excuse but different.
When the Yewtree accusations came out I was totally in defence of him because I expected it would be women.
