RIP H R Giger

This man was a profound inspiration for me all through my life, in my art, my work and my personality and view of the world itself. His beautiful, nightmarish visions affected me deeply in a positive and creative way. I can't express how sad I am to hear that he's no longer with us.

The greatest surrealist artist there ever was.

Went to the Giger museum in Gruyeres when I was living in Switzerland. It was incredible and often disturbing. His obsession with machine/humanoid crossover and penetration was dark. A fabulous imagination.

Sad to hear this. The man was a genius.

Absolutely this, part of me wishes we saw his version of Dune, it would have given a generation of kids nightmares!

His work was like pealing back the fabric of space and time and getting a glimpse of some dark corner of an alien universe. One where you probably wouldn't survive very long at all if you where there!

Another big loss in 2014 :(

Disturbing as I found a lot of his work, his talent and the inspiration it brought is undeniable.
