It was a bit violent for the time and has a bad press for that.

Good shout. Fantastic film back in the day. Largely undiscovered by the more recent generation. I think I will watch this at the weekend.

roller ball - the scene where he is talking to the boss with his cowboy boots on, is iconic to me.

i always felt he was underused in godfather thou

sonny giving Rizzi a pounding for beating his pregnant sister then the toll booth scene are both seared in my memory from first watching godfather 30 odd years ago. Genuinely Iconic actor.

Misery is probably my favourite of his. Godfather is great, of course, but too heavy going to be among my favourites.
