RIP Mark Speight

Sad news, and a very sad story in whole :(

I can't say I'm too surprised, looks like he's taken his own life after being horribly depressed. Can't imagine what the rest of their families must be going through at the minute, from one level of despair to another one.
 
Yeh, loved watching SMART. Apparently he was "unstable", probably due to grieve and drugs - but it's awful he had to end up like this.
 
REALLY surprised at this, last i herd he went missing. I though he would have been found and everything would have been ok.

Thought he was a great presenter, loved S.M.A.R.T. :(
 
Yes, a tragic lose.

My wife met him at Butlins last year. He was charming apparently, and had time for everyone.

A lose to the world of children's entertainment, that's for sure.

He wasn't taking heroin, or stealing from anyone to fund his cocaine binges, so that's a bit harsh really. It's not like he was trying to set a bad example for kids through what he did in the privacy of his own home.

R.I.P. Mark Speight, he was a fantastic kids presenter. I used to love SMArt. :( Poor guy.
 
We were only talking about him the other day; like LoadsaMoney I thought he'd end up dead soon. RIP.
