Tbh I've always done my height in feet and inches, my weight in stones and pounds, and drunk pints of beer. I even think of milk in terms of pints, although it's obviously in ml's
Probably an age thing using a mix of both measurements. Really I can't imagime many businesses wanting to stump up the cost of changing their packaging just to pander to Bozos idiocy.

This, I can't imagine after using the metric system for so long that businesses will want to use imperial or both.

On that note, there's been some interesting historical very expensive lessons (bridges and spacecraft spring to mind) when both measurement systems have been used together.

Nothing stopping businesses right now marking products with imperial measurements, look at milk for example. It does of course have metric on it too in small print.
 
It was harder to hide inflation when it was lbs & ounces. Shrinkflating grams off pack sizes has become an Olympic sport for manufacturers and retailers these days.

At present traders are legally obliged to use metric measurements such as grams, kilograms, milli-litres and litres when selling packaged or loose goods in England, Scotland and Wales.

Not looked at the law, but i imagine that under existing EU law, which we have adopted as the baseline, you have to label in metric then optionally as imperial, you are unable to just use imperial.

This change give business the option to just use imperial, who knows why you would do that, perhaps on old fashioned products or something.

BRB just going to drive 40mph in my car to buy a 1/4 pounder with cheese.
