No, I didn't realise that either. That's a shame. A real voice of sport, and forever etched in my mind as F1.

As a kid getting up at 5-6am to watch Suzuka or Adelaide with Mansell and Senna duelling it out in the early 90’s with Murray and James Hunt was where F1 began for me.
Then Supporting Damon Hill in the mid 90’s With Murray’s immortal commentary as he finally won the big one
This is me as well. What memories of Murray and James, then Martin. Absolute legend and one so ingrained in my life. RIP Murray.

My dad couldn't stand him but it's clear the era of such passion and charisma in the commentary box for F1 ended with him. Very fond memories as a child, feel privileged to have experienced F1 with him.
