This is my lovely Citizen Titanium watch that I was given for my 21st birthday back in 1994:

It's done pretty well lasting 12 years, but I'm really gutted because it's such a nice watch, and they don't appear to make this model anymore. :(

I don't suppose any of you watch experts know of any super-secret websites where I can still buy one? I've been Googling like crazy, but have come up empty handed.

The only info I have is that it's a model no. AI 0XXX or EI 5XXX, Cal No. 6850.

I can't set the time anymore. None of the buttons move the hands in the way they should.
I'm sure you will be able to get that fixed if you take it into a watch repair shop.. Is it quartz or mechanical?

That's a nice looking watch. Have you not tried asking the jewellers to fix it?
I get the feeling it will probably cost a lot to fix, plus it's looking a bit beaton up these days. I shall enquire when I go in town on Friday.

Looks familier

/me looks on wrist, ah yeah :)

I've got that watch, had it for my 18th and still going strong.

I did take it to the jewellers about 18months ago for a new battery and I got a phonecall saying it was worse than that and it was pretty screwed. But it was the jewellers it was bought form and he thought we'd bought it more recently so he filled out a new warranty card there and then and sent it back to them to fix, cost me all of £20 :)

Then a week or so later they massively discounted the engagement ring I had handmade lol, almost feel guilty going back in as they didn't charge me for a certain bit of the ring :)

I know of 2 clock/watch makers in the Bath area that would fix it for you and probably for less than any high street jewellers would, as all they will do is send it off to a workshop.

i dont think the movement is made any more (quartz) ,otto frei in the states still sell movements for $49 + p+p to the UK ,if a UK shop cannot supply you a movement at above price then buy one from above and just ask them to fit it (simple enough).

*above says that a miyota 6w50 should do the same job and is still available
cousins have the above movement for 28 quid and are in the UK.
