Not sure how I provoked such a reaction there... I didn't say they were ignorant nor pains in the arse so I suggest you take a step back for a moment.

As a designer, we can only guide the client to making the right decision, hence when designing a logo, you tend to design 10 - 20 of them so they can get an idea of what it could look like. They select a few (if not one) and then you guide them from there.

At the end of the day, if the client pays you £600 for a design and they just say "I want a red square with a pink dot in the middle but with some fancy text", that is what you do.

I digress, I personally prefer the green one, but if the client wants the grey then so be it. At the end of the day, if they change their mind after signing off on it, then you can charge them for the change.

Just imagine how much money Sony must have spent on the word "SONY" for their branding, and thats just a simple word in a fancy font :)
