RIP Ozzy

His Solo albums were the sound track of my youth. Rip Ozzy.

"...If none of us believe in war
Then can you tell me, what the weapons for?
Listen to me everyone
If the button is pushed, there'll be nowhere to run..."

Great lyrics and epic songs.

Extremely sad to learn of this. My partner back home said many people are laying flowers down by the mural in Birmingham and the Sabbath bench. I gave up my ticket for the farewell show because of travel commitments and missed that special moment too. Rip you icon

His music was a bit before my time, seeing parts of the Osbourne's, I just thought he was a doped up, stuttering drunk, weird show. There’s clearly a lot I don’t know though, will need to do some reading/listening. I’ve no doubt he was a talented artist and showman in his heyday.

Fun fact: He was arrested for attempted murder of his wife via strangulation and also killed numerous animals throughout his lifetime including shooting 17 of his own cats whilst under the influence of drugs…

If it wasn't for him, I probably wouldn't have known most of the people that mean the most to me... R. I. P.
A mate suggested he may have taken a holiday to Switzerland... I wouldn't be at all upset if that was the case. Massive respect to him for managing to put on that one last show!

I've never been a fan of him nor his music but there's no denyins his fame and influence, a rock star in the truest form of the word. RIP.

It's weird how this stuff happens.
I'd just downloaded some Black Sabbath guitar presets for a new pedal I've had so going through songs like Symptoms Of The Universe, Into The Void, Sweet Leaf, Tomorrows Dream etc, looked up at Facebook and thought it was a joke post but it had Sky News on it.
For the first time ever I've been continuously shedding a tear over a rock performer which I haven't done before, shows how much influence he had on me from 1971.
A big shout out to Sharon who kept him alive and for putting the amazing Back To The Beginning on which I thought was going to be a massive failure concerning Ozzy/Sabbath.

I have an Ozzy story from 1975 but I'll tell it later, you'll all think I'm telling fibs anyway :)

It sok I tell people stuff on this forum and they dont believe me either, I find it quite funny because its just showing of how sheltered some peoples live are.

The nineteen seventies was another planet, everything was real.

RIP Ozzy.
