RIP Prince

Gutted. An artist who I grew up listening to daily. Had the privilege of VIP seats for his LoveSexy tour in Manchester back in the day. Outstanding stage show from first note to last

RIP

i hope Ford hangs in there (looking v frail)...please Indiana. Just got a bad feeling about this. Remember when Christopher Lee was still going strong and all the mention of this in his 90s+ and acting etc and then he goes and pops his clogs :(

It's everyones time one day. We're all on the clock.

Although I will be seriously ****** off if I go before Game of Thrones finishes

Yeah because 57 is when we expect people to start dying. Such a lazy link.

It is though, By 60 statistically you expect roughly 1 in 10 to be dead.
And then can't be bothered to look it up, but celebrities probably have a fear worse statistical chance due to their lifestyles, above average dug and suicide rates.

That little pencil moustache of his used to freak me right out - always thought it made him look creepy. But my oh my what a singer, performer and musician. As someone previously said, don't think everyone realised how awesome a guitarist he was.

Bum Fluff. That's what we called it (his moustache style) That not quite a real one, thing.

I'm sort of sad he's died. But not surprised. Not as shocked as when Dave Bowie died. THat just knocked me for six.

TBH I never really "got" Prince. Yeah he could lay down a groove and wasn't a bad guitarist but I just didn't connect with his lyrics. Sexy sexy?

Damn though. He's the same age as me.

Sort of glad I'm just a normal joe with a beer belly really.

2016 sucks!

It's not just this year I'm afraid. I've noticed over the last couple of years there seems to be a high profile death every other day.

RIP Prince :(

The crux of this is that we'll all be dead by 60-70 and thus before we become pensionable. That's what the gov't wants. Gone are the days when you'd live to 80+. The generation who fought in WW2 will have had the longest lifespan.

Time is the song that will stand out for me. I never understood the line 'high on crack tooting a machine gun' as a kid. Makes a bit more now lol.

RIP indeed. An amazing musician.

Eh?

RIP. Prince always delivered a level of substance and musicianship that made his flashiness justified. A true talent.

Prince has a low-key side project where he became a women called Camille. Crazy experiments with vocal FX, so now's prob a good time to check that out. I have the files, but I'm sure there will be mirror up from others in no time.

RIP Prince. Grew up in the 80s listening to your music. Such a colourful character in every way thinkable. Feeling very sad :(

I grew up with his music as a background to my teens and twenties. I even saw him be awesome in concert in London thirty years ago. Read up on his life or watch the great documentary they show regularly on BBC4. He did an amazing amount with his huge talent, and lived his life on his own terms. He died too young.
