RIP Sinéad O'Connor

I was never a fan as I find her voice incredibly grating and I absolutely abhor "Nothing Compares to u". However, 56 is far too young and the loss of her son was awful. She was also abused by the hands of her own mother and was "committed" to Magdalene Asylum for unruly women shortly after. She has had her fair share of demons, diagnosed with BI-polar and an associated suicide attempt. As I said I'm not a fan but either way the whole thing is pretty sad.

May she RIP.

I don't normally pay much attention to the morose bore Morrissey but he is on the money with this.

Many people are also overly praised after their deaths as if they’ve done no wrong. Flack and Winehouse come to mind.

I bought Mandinka when it first came out, followed by her first two albums. Yes, Nothing Compare 2U is great but she did so much more. If you want to hear a really great track, listen to Troy. Or actually all of her second album I Do Not Want What I have Not Got.

I can't comment on Caroline Flack, But Amy suffered with a lot of mental health issues, I know she was out of control at various points but she definitely wasn't of sound mind.
