RIP Sony NW-HD3

Yea, first thing I did was put the USA firmware on to get rid of the stupid EU volume limits.

Mmm, I used software for Vista, but after having problems getting album art onto the player i went onto xp. has taken me ages to do though. Well very happy now, suppose I'll learn loads about it as I use it day to day.

You can use Windows media Player 11 in vista to put album art into the ZVM - just rename the art file as folder.jpg.

You can also use a programme called mediamonkey

I cant be bothered with album art so I just drag n drop.

Sony will repair an HD3 out of warranty HD3 for £76 . My headphone socket started playing up on mine , so I dismantled it to clean it and broke the connector :o .

It is a pain that there seems to be a shortage of physicaly small HD based players , I don't want to watch movies on the train / while driving

I had a massive fiddle trying to fix it, but just kept making things worse and broke multiple miniscule connections. It's just held together by tape now and is used by a remote i bought last year.

I'll take it to leeds festival with me becuase I'm not arsed if it get's broken or stolen (lol as if anyone would)
