Rise Of Flight -WW1 Flight Sim

Think I'll give this a go, I used to love the WW1 stuff. Slow close up dogfights was what I loved, none of this shoot at a dot in the distance. :D

With regards to the DRM, it did bother me once upon a time but not any more anyway there is an offline mode in RoF now.
As for the sales model, 777 seem to offer the add on planes at discount prices every few months.
You dont have to buy every flyable plane in the game, just buy what you want.
The planes are all in the game anyway (I think). Just pay for the ones you want to fly.
 
Bought it last month on the special sales prices

The DRM is a pain in the arse (they used the amazon cloud and when it went down , no one could play for about 5 days)

The planes prices are great when on sale , otherwise the price extracts the urine

The new way they are milking the dried udders on this cash cow is .......
Field mods 1 or 2 quid for better gunsight or fuel gauge or alt meter etc etc etc

It is worth a punt to check it out, it is a pretty game
 
Virgin but it's ok it's gone up to 1.0MB/s :eek: + :cool: It does drop down to 500 every now & again but it's flying down now.
Hope we can get the Multiplayer working & have some OcUK Dog fights, How ******* cool would that be. :D

I have always fancied playing this game, will down loading it tonight and give it a try. If you like flight sims, Wings of prey is on sale on steam for £5, excellent game and they have dropped the DRM.
 
98.7% complete WOOT !!!

I'll install once done & post back after I've tried it.

That's 3.64GB in an Hour & 31 minutes, Not bad for a 10meg Virgin connection.
 
It takes a fair bit of installing but all went well & it even auto recognised my Joystick.
Once username reg etc was done I was in for a Quick Mission.
Flying is great but getting a decent shot on an Enemy is rock hard, I've only had 3 flights out so far, The first I crashed doing an inverted roll, The 2nd I got shot in the face, Everything went red but I still had some control of the plane until I stacked it, 3rd flight out I was in full control & even got a few shots off at Enemy, My gun jammed twice though so you have to re-**** it.
I have to say that once you are in a dog fight then you are lost in a World of your own, Full escapism. :cool:

Well worth the download. :D

This game looks amazing, well, graphically at least.

I'll be using a mouse and keyboard, would I need a Joystick? I think I have one somewhere from like 10 years ago. :P
