i played the first & enjoyed it.

But this one is better in the way theirs almost no QTE but,

I feels pretty daft & don't know if to try and finish it.

What wrong?
The enemy are pretty unrealistic.
: one guy just throws grenades constantly nothing else
: Who carries a shield & swat Armour in the middle of a snowstorm?
: so many empty bottles & can everywhere to use.
: guns aiming is pretty dire.

so is the ending worth it? im 25% in.

Definitely if you want to see all content. 25% is not even a fraction of the overall content but its a stunning graphics walking simulator with puzzles & regular survival based combat ;)

So the opposite of a walking simulator? Only on the OCUK forums can you see someone compare a game to COD then another say it's a walking sim :D

I haven't read reviews to be fair but I figured Rise would be just like the first game but better, it's a shame if they've borked it up.

I thought it was pretty shallow to be honest. They pad out the game by adding 5000 million collectable items on the maps and if you're not interested in those then there's absolutely nothing left. The story is underwhelming.

May sound harsh but they really just didn't add anything to the first game other than different maps.

But surely, the whole point of the franchise is to Raid Tombs :p

The game was great and yep there are loads of collectibles but you must have known this

Literally struggling through it at the same percenyage as you when i last loaded it up. I liked the original reboot for what it was but this i dont know, just feels somewhat generic? Visually lovely but i just struggle to play for more than 20 minutes before wanting to stop

I think the semi open area structure is ok but the needless checklist of pointless tasks it brings with it just feels like padding so ive been ignoring that except for challenge tombs

Maybe a bit over rated this one

I thought Tomb Raider was just an excuse to stare at a bum without been called a perv, a bit like then Anneka Rice shows from the 80s :)

Seriously though i thought it was a fun game but i did get bored and stopped playing, i expected i would be drawn back to it at some point but it hasnt happened yet.

Its defiantly worth playing at least through once. There are some very good moments. After i first completed it i wanted more complex puzzles but still thought it was very good, nothing revolutionary just more of the same (not as good story wise as the first) but with some more rpg elements that didn't feel quite right for me. Then i played Uncharted 4 (i would not have got a PS4 if not for naughty dog) which for me showed how this genre(linear, story-telling, action-adventure) should be done. sorry for going off topic.

Just finished rise and enjoyed it. Yeah it's not the most technically advanced game for enemy ai, but it's a fun game at heart and worth completing.

Likewise. I thoroughly enjoyed the previous one and this was more of the same in my eyes.

I feel the same way. I enjoyed the adventurous style of the game, bow shooting, and what not. Nice landscapes, too.
