Also is it true a longer cable will reduce connection speed and should I go for an unbranded cable or go with branded one like Belkin?

Increased length will reduce your line quality marginally but nothing major. Don't put a ridiculously over sized cable in for the length you need But yes, you need a RJ11-RJ11 cable to move your modem further away from the socket.

Will I notice any speed decrease? Click to expand... This option will keep your speed as it is now. Its always better to have a longer network cable, your router is best left close to the socket.

I got a 'Pro+' one with an XTE-2005 Faceplate. I won't link as they may be a competitor, but if you Google 'XTE-2005 Faceplate', it's the first result. They do longer cables as well.
