RMA or?

Well basically I bought the HD6870 3-4 weeks ago I think

Ever since I attached 3 monitors it's been constantly crashing with
"Display driver amdkmdap stopped responding and has successfully recovered."

It seems to go into PowerPlay and throttle my GPU to 300Mhz at 0.95V and everytime its on this, it constantly crashes (over 60 times in 5 days)

Then I looked about CCC, made a preset and set it to throttle the GPU at 775Mhz and 1.1V, it was stable, no more random crashes.

But, CCC seems to ignore the preset after a while and go back to 300Mhz and 0.95V and starts crashing again

I've tried re-installing drivers, etc all comes down to same thing.

So ultimately, is this a fault with the graphics card itself and I'm able to RMA it or not?

sounds like some sort of software/driver fault to me however it could be a dodgy bios on the card

Have your tried running DriverSweeper between uninstalling old drivers and the new? If so, then try an older driver set too.

Is there any way you can test the card in another machine?

Yep used it to completely wipe drivers

I've tried CCC 11.9 and 11.8, not sure if theres different display drivers with them but other than that I can't another way to download older display drivers only from AMD as only 'Previous Drivers' that appear are on Catalysts page

No way I can test it in another PC.

It worked fine for a few weeks with 1 monitor, but soon as I put in 3 it's been like this, someone on another forum thinks it may be problem with bios on gfx not properly setting clock for 3 monitors (as evidently its unstable at 300Mhz / 0.95V if it crashes constantly and doesn't at 775Mhz/1.1V :p)

Worst time posssible to get a fault card.

Busiest 2 months with uni work lol

For OcUK, if you return a fault item will they repair/replace it, as I was wondering would it be possible to return it, and upgrade kinda thing

As i bought the card before I got 3 monitors, so now ideally I want a 6970/6950 with 2GB RAM

So like, return it and get £140 off the other gfx card I buy, or is that not possible? :P

Only tech support could answer that but they probably do it if you ask nicely. Depends on if the fault within 30 days or not. After 30 days with faults i think need to contact manufacturer (could be wrong). one thing I can say is I have had few problems over years with items and tech support always been helpful if they cant help with something means out there hands.
