Stupid question, I bought a Steinberg Audio interface last summer and it's busted. I have no memory of where I got it from, and all my emails from back then have been deleted. Again, I know, stupid :p I'm almost resigned to buying a new one but it's annoying when I know I've got a warranty out there somewhere.

I've emailed Steinberg for advice but I'm pretty sure they'll just tell me to take it to the retailer. Any non-flippant, non-condescending advice out there?

They will likely give you an RMA number or ask for proof of purchase.

manufactures can tell if something is within it's warranty period from any serial numbers, so for some of them it's not an issue if you don't have a receipt

Its a UR-22. Halifax online banking came up trumps, found it and requested an RMA, cheers for the help! And no-one called me stupid either :)
