Road Rage

I've given up with roundabout lane disciplin.

Everyday I have to tackle the same roundabout and everyday I get in the correct lane. The idea being that at each exit lane 1 exits and everyone else suffles one lane to the left. Unfortunately its sooo much easier (or so people seem to think) to just get in the wrong lane and stay in it meaning that I have nowhere to go so have to stick in my lane. Not too much of a problem as its a 2 lanes into 1 on the slip road approach.

But oh no, because I'm on the outside lane (due to Mr Muppet now sat next to me) I must be racing and will any **** give you an inch? Will they hell. Its stick to the car infront. Eyes fixed forward. I WILL NOT GIVE WAY mode. Stuff merge in turn, stuff any basic road manners.

My attitude with this now is very much- fine, the roads wide enough I'll just sit to your right all the way up the slip road. Oh look I can merge onto the dual carriageway fine but I don't fancy your chances much :o They normally get the idea about half way up the sliproad and back off :o

I used to have good roundabout discipline until I got the BM. I now tend to just skip the queue if there is an empty lane or zip around where I see gaps :(

Why does owning a BMW make you into a **** of a driver?

I try and not be "stereotypical" to the BM drivers, but seriously it's just impossible not to be, they just seem to be seriously agitated, "king" of the road style drivers, no respect for others, usually very dangerous and just a pain in the backside.
I seem to encounter one most days.

I'm confused with this, every junction I come to that works in this way, I always turn 'infront' as does everybody else. I know you're not "supposed to", but everyone seems to do it regardless because it keeps the flow of traffic.

Like this I mean:

This is the best way at most junctions, as it prevents traffic having to criss cross like it would have to if you pass behind each other in a queue of cars...

It was the way my father, a police driving instructor taught me to do it wherever possible, and a lot of junctions actually have been marked this way now...

In cyprus, every crossroads is negotiated passing in front not behind..

Not sure I understand you right, third lane would suggest third exit right? So that means the Ka was in the lane to come off at second but stayed on the roundabout?

Three exits / roads including the one I was joining from.

I was coming from the south and going straight on. There are no road markings on any of the four approach lanes indicating which is for which exit but my assumption is that the far left is for turning left, the far right is for doing a U turn and the middle two are for straight on.
