A good few weeks but if you're spotted you're screwed.

I had an anxious week and a ahlf wait last time round as I couldn't find my cover note, turns out they never sent me one

well myn ran out on friday and i forgot about it and im goign to tax it first thing tomoz morning i just dont want them sending me out a fine.

I heard from someone on here that the database was about 3 months out of date lol... but ive taxed mine online and it still hasnt registered on the numberplate check through the DVLA website... so im guessing you could get away with it for a day or two, but I doubt for any longer than that...

My tax ran out on Friday too, theiving buggers, cost me £104.50 and thats for 6 months but as i'm thinking of selling it I didn't fancy spending £190.

About time they got rid of car tax.

How do I cancel my road tax and get a full refund?

The new disc began on 1st July and by 2pm the same day my vehicle was incapacitated thanks to a transit van.

Details are writen on the back of the tax disk:

To claim a refund send your application and the licence to the Driver and Vehical Licensing Agency SWANSEA SA99 1AL or hand them in at any DVLA Office

Refund application forms (V14) may be obtained from ant DVLA Local Office or main Post Office branches.
