Road Tax

I was thinking the other day after watching some police thing on TV, if the police know wether or not you have tax and insurance before they pull you over why not just get road tax like you would a TV liscence? Go in the PO when your tax is up, pay for it and file it away with your driving liscence and insurance documents. Would cut down on tax fraud and the like. Just a thought.

Or alternatively scrap it and put 2p on fuel.

That way, everyone pays who uses a car.

and the government would make more money Less people to mess around and skim money of it (ie wages), enforcement ect ect.

they will do that anyway and still not abolish road tax
