Road trip!

Hi all,

I booked a return ferry trip tonight from Rosyth to Zeebrugge leaving on the 29th June. I'll be in europe for 2 weeks on the R6 and I'm looking to fit in the most scenic / interesting and exciting roads and sights I can do in that time.

I'll leave on the 29th June and I need to be back in Zeebrugge on the 13th July.

I've worked out that Nurburg is 220 miles from Zeebrugge, so I think I'd like to get there on day 1 of the trip. Stay overnight and put in a lap or 2. Then move on! - but where??? :cool:

I've added a map of europe. What route would you recommend ???

need to get yourself down to the south of france, beautifall down there. Also visit Monaco, and then Stelvio pass on the way back up maybe.

Ahaha, i was just about to post you need to visit Monaco, i had a really good time down the south of france last year some fantastic roads.

Reason i didn't post is i felt it was a little out of the way....

Avoid Switzerland, they HATE speed/cars/bikes/motors and loud things in general, as you can see from my map, if you avoid switzerland you are pretty much sorted, I even got Monaco in there too.

lol. Is this from personal experience of the Swiss? or from Mr Clarkson? I'd be interested to find out how bad the traffic authoroties are in Switzerland. It looks like a beautiful country.

Switzerland has fantastic scenery, I went with Dave and Tom last summer, a must if you are going down south.

Clarkson, obviously. If he says dont drive there, I wont drive there.

It probably is very nice to look at actually, and if you do go there, go slow, and keep the RPM's below 1500.
