I wanted to ask, as i was watching some of the episodes on Youtube, which type of Vectra do they drive? The specification of it?

Yeah, but i want to know what type of Vectras they use. I think Pat and Carl uses one.

The Vectra is probably something like the 2.2 with 150bhp.

Thames Valley's new shape Vectras are 2.8 V6 Turbos (so same spec as the VXR I guess).

Although the vxr vectras dont like corners, i still quite like them for some odd reason.

I'm consistently told on various forums that if a car doesn't deal with corners perfectly well then it is completely rubbish and as such not worth owning or driving. Which is fine - they can carry on driving their oh-so-superior EuroBarge* while I tool around in something that is actually fun to own and drive.

That said....the VXR Vectra should have been aborted before birth. It isn't pretty, it isn't musical, it doesn't corner well and it's not a rocket ship in a straight line. So what is the point of it? Yet another one of those cars that I just can't think of a good reason for why they exist....

* - I would like to point out that I'm not thinking of anyone in particular on this forum. My inbox has seen enough abuse recently without getting any more thanks!

I drove one in Donnington and they are quick in a straight line, loads of torque but slower than a Astra VXR I found

Most probably with the 3.2 v6 that other police traffic cars have

You'll find very few of them are VXR spec, the vast majority are the 3.2 V6 diesels.

My ex used to have a Veccy VXR and it was definitely a license loser. I found it quite good fun to drive, nice to feel so much power underfoot in what is usually classed as a rep-mobil. As said, it isn't fantastic on corners, Vxl could have done a lot better with it.

They drive a mix, i've picked a few of em up...

The unmarked ones are Omegas and Vectras... marked are the same plus the usual, they dont use Volvos like the rest of em seem to lol..

Actually spoken to one or two of em... and i've said in previous threads, they were quite scared when I knew their name just by hearing their collar number

I dont remember, but i was not driving slowly...

I spoke to the son of the head police blokey at the station (super-intendant?) who i know through Hockey. Apparently i came up in conversation and the CD10 was mentioned. It then came to light the video is somewhat notorious in the Thames Valley region, and often wheeled out to show to traffic officers and new recruits....
