This was the original setup, you could make a turn off of the intersecting road without any problem and the actual barrier was more than 2m.
This road is on a business/warehouse area and the barrier is probably to stop trucks coming down the top road which always has parked cars. Then one day someone decides to break the old barrier down, close the road for a week and cause major congestion, plus put the barrier CLOSER to the intersection thus making it impossible to do a clean turn into it, you have to go to the wrong side of the road if you wanna make it without reversing a little or scraping your car to heck. The problem this has caused is not only inconvenience, its a right danger as cars coming from the top road and turning left could go smack into anyone trying to do a turn, which has happened twice afaik, however both were minor from what i heard. Apart from that, they've decreased the width to 2m and now smaller lorries etc.. that previously made it are now coming to our residental roads with speed bumps and tearing up the place + causing a lot of noise, so far one car has been smacked into by a lorry.
The drawings are awful i know, not to scale
but the original barrier was a lot wider than it is now.
Whom would i complain to? The council perhaps? Whats the chances in your opinion anything will come of it?
