Roadcraft demo next week - latest game from the Snowrunner folk.

As a massive fan of Snowrunner (especially in co-op) I'll definitely be checking this demo out next week.

I could never get in to snow runner but this looks interesting and will try it out.

I've got just under 700 hours in Snowrunner and I'm still not completed, and I was really looking forward to this....BUT, I am a bit downhearted by the reports that the driving aspect has been watered down. No limited fuel, no damage, but most importantly, much simpler transmissions.

The transmission design was by no means perfect in Snowrunner, but I'd really hoped that they might improve it in the new game. But it seems like in Roadcraft you just get automatic gears, one low gear, and then AWD/Diff Lock switches. If they've at least fixed the automatic gear selection so it works properly then it might not be so bad, but I was hoping we might get an option for fully manual gearboxes.

I'll give the demo a shot as I enjoyed Snowrunner despite all it's flaws. 300 hours or so, with many an Alf-F4 rage quit!
Hopefully the physics are reasonable, vehicles interesting to drive and the whole levels aren't just annoying mud to slog through at 2mph unless you own one of the big Russian trucks.

Yeah there does seem to be some of the more sim like features dropped (though like you its just things that I have "read" so far) , the demo will let me check out how much of an impact the differences are and I have to keep in mind throughout that this is not Snowrunner 2, I'm viewing it more as an interim game to play whilst continuing to wait for Snowrunner 2. I've got hundreds of hours in Snowrunner co-op and need something fresh

I've been looking at vids of this the last day or so, definitely interested and will absolutely be downloading the demo when it lands next week.
