Ran over a poor ickle bunny last night and the lass in the passenger seat almost cried...

Proof that this forum is useful: I remembered a thread on here from a while ago, so didn't do anything stupid like brake hard or swerve, just kept going and heard a sickening thunk instead. So sorry, no pics of the car in a ditch, but you can have one dead bunny and my thanks

I still have to check the wheel arches for any remnants. Might have some stew later

My mate ran over one before and I nearly cried. He didn't even attempt to slow down which is probably why I thought he was a ****!

I did try explaining to her that I was doing 60 at the time and swerving probably would have ended up with us in a bush/ditch/tree I'm "evil", apparently

Weird thing is that all these animals wait until the last minute before running to the side of the road?

No it didnt, it never ran did it . . . .

It started to, but didn't quite make it. All the bunny's friends now have a flat-mate

I would/have/do brake hard for animals, not my fault if the person behind is too close. I wouldn't swerve to avoid an animal, but I wouldn't swerve to avoid a human either

No way I would have braked hard seeing as I had a 4x4 up my rear for the past mile or so. I know who would have come off worse.

Dead bunny or Smashed car... not a hard split second decision IMO. If I had no one behind be I'd have slammed on the anchors tbh, I'm not that cruel
