Robbery revenge

Maybe if people had faith that justice would actually happen, this might be less likely to happen?

I was burgled this year. I have no faith they will be caught and justice will happen. If I'd come home and seen someone running down the street with my possessions, I may have been compelled to do something myself too.

This. I've also been burgled and never heard anything about it since. If I saw the burglar making off with my stuff I'd certainly stop him. Dunno if I'd squash him with my car, but he wouldn't get away that easily.

Legally it wasn't justified.

Morally they deserved it. Don't care if the liberals hate me for that opinion.

In all seriousness, Why not??

I cannot think of any conceivable reason why a surviving armed robber is a better outcome for society than a dead one!

Right to life.

An armed robber is not necessarily a killer. It could just be an imitation weapon, it could be unloaded, or he might have absolutely no intention of using it other than to intimidate. Running someone over on the other hand is clearly with the intention to kill. It's even worse!

People really don't deserve to die just because they thieved something. When did the forums become ISIL run?

I reckon I should be able to put a bullet to the head of anyone I find pick-pocketing me.

Who's with me?

Chavez was just retrieving his property using reasonable and proportionate force given that the suspects were armed with guns.

Sorry, but you pull a gun on someone means you are willing to use it to take a life. If you are willing to take a life then you lose any rights normal citizens are entitled too.

What he did stopped 2 guys who in the future could have killed someone else.

Guy should be a bloody hero and no one will press charges against him for it.

I have never read such ****. The person the other end end of the gun won't know this and the memory of having a gun pointed at their head may affect them for the rest of their life.

It's just a pity the robber didn't end up in a wheel chair due to their actions.

Do you think the fact that it could turn out to be imitation or unloaded has any effect on the innocent victim who has it shoved in their face? To the victim he has the intent on shooting them in the face to take their wallet and phone.

Whats more, if you are willing to pull a gun, fake or not, to steal from innocent people why should they have any rights at all?

And running someone doesn't show intent to kill, it was intent to stop them. You can't state that it was clearly with intent to kill.

Don't think they deserved that, because that would sort of be making a precedent where any victim of crime can go out and get their own revenge which isn't a road we should be going down at all.

The belief a victim has that they are going to die and the terror they feel when confronted with a gun pointed at them is no less intense because of the criminals true intent. The use of a gun loaded or not is to introduce real fear and lasting trauma, the boys defense should be one of overwhelming rage and confusion, leading to a momentary loss of control when confronted by the people who had, minutes earlier, threatened his life.

Let it be a lesson to the thieving @&£#%!

Pretty stupid thing to do really, if I got robbed and they took my phone and wallet to the max value of £1k I would not then go and make matters worse by smashing my car up even if I knew i'd get away with it from a legal point of view.

Cancel debit card, phone police & get phone replaced on insurance.

Kid is an idiot.
