Rock Band 2 released in september!

So could somebody rent RB1 or even lend it from a friend, pay the £5 and rip all the songs without ever having to buy RB1, just RB2?

Jpm do you have the first one? Your tag is never signed in and I see you have Guitar Hero. You mentioned having two tags and someone with senna in the tag added me. Is that you as well?

Yes, which is why I'm sure they charged a fee and why they are delaying uk launch til they have flogged a few off.

It will be worth very little once RB2 launches.

Didn't want to sound stupid but the deal with the free bass guitar, Can the bass guitar be used to play lead guitar or is it tied down to bass section only?

I think your referring to GH:WT regarding the free bass deal.

My guess is it will just be one of the old xplorer controllers that came with GH2 so it should work fine as a lead guitar as well

I was looking at the madcatz one with split strum and wondering the same. Also why you would need a split strum in the first place. Saw this video...

Split strum bar would be for fast finger picking, didn't realise they were doing that.

My new tag has Senna in the title but I can't remember whether I added you or not!! Only on Silver at the moment but will get gold soon.

Got all the GH hames but never shelled out for RB(skint!). My mate has it - love it. When I heard RB2 might be out Sept I thought i'll get it. If it's not going to be out for a while will prob just get RB - cannae wait any longer

Same as me really, no chance of ever doing the tour in RB1 so I'm looking forward to doing it online in 2.

As long as the songs always work with the next version i will be happy, rock band 5 will have hundreds of songs built up hopefully.
