Rocket League XB1

It's a great game, but is there any easy way to quickly setup a private game with someone?

We have two XB1's in the house and trying to setup a private 1v1 game was a bit of a mess.

Not sure with consoles on same network but me and some friends setup a 3v3 private game the other night and it was just a case of inviting the gamertags?

How did you do that?

Were you in a party? Then create the game?

I invited his gamertag so we were in a party, then he showed on the menu but I created a private game and it started up but then I was just sat there waiting for him to join, I went upstairs to accept the request but it just said only the party leader can start a game, I could see no way for him to join the private game I was in.

Yeah we was all in a party (Xbox party) then went to the private/custom game and invited everyone from there. Worked first time..

On a seperate occasion I know the other night we had issues playing online as a team (I.e people wasn't in the game party but on others it said they was etc)

Got this at the weekend and quite enjoying it, me and my sons on split screen 3v3. If we play ranked do we all get ranked or is it only the primary account? Also, sometimes the game just locks up with repeating sound then crashes, anyone else getting this?

YES, XBOX ONE CROSS-NETWORK PLAY IS REALLY HAPPENING
Welcome to the new age of online gaming!

Officially confirmed by our friends at Microsoft earlier today, Rocket League and Xbox One cross-network play will soon become a reality!

To say that the team here at Psyonix is both honored and excited to have Rocket League as the first cross-network game is a massive understatement. Cross-network play has been the number-one most requested feature our community has asked for since Rocket League was first announced on Xbox One, and now that we are able to pursue complete online unity on all platforms, today’s announcement is a dream come true.

Expect to see Rocket League cross-network play working on Xbox One and PC later this spring, with information regarding other platforms coming soon.

We can’t wait!
