Hi. I was wondering if anyone could help me with 2310 configuration on an AW9D-Max. I connected my raptor to an onboard sata point, installed windows and all was well. I then installed the 2310 board, connected 3*320s to it and restarted. In the RocketRaid configuration I initialised the three disks, and created a Raid 5 array. So far so good, unfortunately the raptor is no longer detected in the bios and with no windows install on the raid array the machine just cycles through from post to no bootable disk and back again.
Does anyone know the correct bios settings to get my raptor detected again? Thanks.

edit: Should mention that the raptor is Sata1, the 320s are Sata2, fwiw.

Thanks for the response. At the moment I've taken the card out, but when it was in-place the bios detected none of the drives, only the dvd drive.
It was like the raid card was masking out the drive plugged into the Sata1 connector - I tried plugging it into Sata7 but it still wasn't detected. I think its likely to be one of the myriad Sata/IDE settings in the BIOS. If anyone has this config (2310/AW9D-MAX) I'd really appreciate it if you could point me towards the right settings.

Thanks for your help, I got it working by pressing END. I haven't had much luck trying to hit the right settings in the AW9D bios to disable the onboard RAID and still boot from my system disc. Does anyone know what needs to be switched on or off in the board's bios?

That's right. I press END to boot from the Raptor, otherwise it goes into the HighPoint BIOS and afterwards fails to find a bootable disc. Its no great inconvenience, but I'd rather configure the board so that it doesn't need me to press END every time.

Ah, sweet. Thanks for all your help. I'll download this thing in the morning, I want to leave the initialisation running overnight. Thanks again.

By the way, what configuration are you using, raid type, discs, etc. How do you find the write/read performance for this card?
