Poison if they are in the attic.....
Don't do that. What if they die somewhere you can't find them?
Just lay down some humane or instant kill traps. Don't use sticky tape

but they never did, so again no issue..... id rather they were dead, than have to get them out the attic alive and get rid of them, no thanksUntil they die in a inaccessable location rot and you smell it. Good luck with that.

they die...the endWhat if the rat falls in cavity wall? LOL
As someone that has dealt with this kind of thing before, do not use poison if you value your sense of smell. Once they start to rot, the smell is ******* horrific. Anyone that tells you not to worry about it has clearly never smelt it...Poison if they are in the attic.....

i will......Do as you do then. Just buy some clothes pegs for your nose haha

We had rats under our floor one year & we sealed their point of entry before putting some poison down. The smell of them decomposing in the height of summer was quite a treat but it was worth it to be rid of them. I hate the buggers, they give me the massive ick for some reason more than any other critters.
No, sounds like you might be now thoughWere you drunk at the time on taking thsy course if action

For them to curl up somewhere inside yer walls and die... the utterly stink to high heaven of stale deathPoison if they are in the attic.....
they could have also escaped then been caught and half eaten by a neighbouring cat/dog... subsequently poisoning them alsoive not found any of mine thats died from poison, whats the issue? once they eat tge poison the first thing they want is water, so the exit the property to go find it an die
secondary poisoning doesnt happy with new poisons...always read the label.they could have also escaped then been caught and half eaten by a neighbouring cat/dog... subsequently poisoning them also
Another reason for traps over poison

i didnt box in the rats, different poster mate.......yeah I'm sure we're all going to take your advise, after you boxed in rats that died and rotted away in your home and stank it out.
