RoEy Watercooled Build Log

Amazing...well done mate. Fantastic...that Koolance GPU block looks the business...and my daze you got damn good temps on it...I am using an XSPC one on mine and altho I idle at 36C, it can hit 60C when playing Crysis. But then my room is really really warm...I guess thats the price I pay for having too many PCs in one room and the sun shining right into my room for most of the day lol. But come winter time all that should change :D again well done RoEy :)

Thanks mate! Really pleased you like it and I'll get some better photos of it soon. Looks so mucher nicer in the flesh. I've yet to play crysis on it so no doubt the temps will rise but I guess thats the beauty of having a fan controller.:D

Can't wait to see what temps will be in winter. I was idling at 29 the other day when it was cooler!

See 29 is what I hope to see come winter time :D lol...so with the fan controller is that for the fans on the rad? I was thinking of getting one but I have no room left on my 1200 for any slots as its all used up and I aint modder by any means so I cant really mod on into my case. Thanks :D

LOL.

First 4 channels control the 4 fans on rad and channels 5 & 6 control top 2 fans. I have the motherboard controlling the front HDD fan and rear two, which are going at 800rpm.

It's extremely quiet.

CK61938 - Get a Big NG, that will go in the case and not need a front bay slot, can even be mounted as a PCI card.

Expensive but VERY configurable and powerful bit of kit

Hi dom (lol@name),

REZ - PUMP - RAD - CPU - GPU - REZ

RoEy

Cheers RoEy

I thought you might have it like that.

One other question.

Because the water already picked up heat from the CPU and travels to the GPU, does it lose cooling value?

Or is it because of the density of water compared to Air, the water can cool 2 things ( or more) before it needs to be cooled by the RAD again?

Sorry if i am not making sense

so why do people have more then one loop then?

And how many components can I cool in a loop before it gets stupied?

Sorry about thread jacking RoEy

No problem at all mate.

I asked all the same questions you're asking now. Infact, I asked a silly amount of questions and I'm sure PaulyD would vouch for that.:D I spent a year researching and I'm glad I did. It took me a good 2 days to build the water cooling as I triple checked everything and then triple checked again. I refused to make a mistake.

With regards to your question; that's why I went with the quad radiator as it can obiviously dissipate more heat so I can comfortably cool cpu and gpu in the same loop. I have a strong pump too which will move the water around the loop faster, which again helps for cooling.

People have dual loops so they can either cool more components or improve cooling by cooling components seperately.
