Really attracted by the specs of this beast! :
6.59-inch AMOLED
144Hz refresh rate
1ms response time
270Hz touch sampling rate
113% DCI-P3 Color
10-bit HDR
Gorilla Glass 6
Whose going for it. For me it's a shame its way too big and heavy for me.

Be careful with 4g coverage.
I bought the rog 2 and the phone didn't support band 20, so I hardly had 4g anywhere I went.

Yws
I guess it may be good if not coming from Rog Phone 2 but a shame base is still 128gb.
I agree for a gaming phone with these specs, 128gb might not be enough. It's odd that the oppo find x2 Pro isn't particularly a gaming phone but it has 512gb of storage.

Must have been the Tencent model?

I dont see this as a big enough upgrade over my Rog Phone 2. Should hold had a QHD screen atleast.
Strix, bought direct from UK ASUS, with the website stating it worked on band 20.
When I questioned it, the website changed, how convenient. ASUS were no help at all.
I thought buying direct from a UK site, it would work in the UK properly, as I read about different models and be careful what you buy.

Oh yeah, me too now. I would happily never buy Asus again.
Option 1 I wanted to send back, they wouldn't take it. Option 2 I would have paid to upgrade to top model which did work on band 20, but no go.
Some bloke on the Asus forums (work for them as I understood) said i was sold the wrong phone, he tried to sort it and got no where either! Completely in ignored by them.

My main gripe with Asus though, who makes what bands of 4G as phone work on, related to a spec. Why should only the top model work on all of them, wtf!?
If it's for the UK, any of the UK models should work on all UK bands.
Shane as I loved everything else about the phone, but no 4g = no point

Phew that's shocking. So what did you do in the end. Did you just keep the phone?

I kept it for as long as I could, as it is a great phone.
I even took an O2 contract out as they have WiFi in many places.
But at work, stuck on H, no 4G on any network as all band 20 around there, so just no good, couldn't use it.
Couldn't sell it privately, as I know they wouldn't be able to use 4G and explaining what bands 4G did work on, all that would put people off.
Traded in with CEX in the end and bought a laptop for the kids.
Bit of and expensive mistake in the end.....

I can imagine and how much did you pay for it, if you don't me asking?

I could have made more on eBay no doubt, but if the buyer didn't like it, id prob end up having to refund it. I didn't want all that hassle.
