Rog phone 3, whose buying it?

I like them, it's more the lack of poor band support on 4g that puts me off.
My Rog 2 wouldn't go on band 8, which is all there is at work.
 
It would do 4g on band 1 and 7, but not 8.
So I'd only get 3g at work.

But the ultimate version would do band 8 as well. Don't know why they ever limited bands to the version you bought. Ram, HDD space etc... Yes, but bands....really.....
 
Yeah, it's painfully slow. No YouTube without constant buffering. Couldn't play games with mates, like COD.
Was ok for WhatsApp, but slow to send pictures lol

I think the Rog 3 comes in version A and B. But not sure on band coverage between the two.
Asus really don't make it easy to give your money to them

Yeah, I tried to live with it as it was an awesome phone, but that one thing....just ruined it all.
I even went in O2, as they have free WiFi in quite a lot of places. But it wasn't enough lol
 
Awesome phone, tencent version comes with b20 as I checked and sure enough 4g+ no problem.

As said mediocre camera and black crush is an issue, but fixable when they get around to it.

Loud speakers, great battery and 80% charge and no charging whilst gaming I love.

Got the rog kunai 3 gamepad is great, but don't get much chance to use it.

Aliexpress, came with global rom so everything works as it should, but I have to manually update which is a doddle.

Black crush is where it looks pixellated in dark areas. I just crank up the brightness.
Just needs a firmware fix to sort it.
It's cause by pixelworks doing poor screen calibration. But it's a signed file, so only they can do it.

Anyone seen their latest offerings. In terms of specs, features and customization - it's pure balls to the wall stuff!

Linus also claims the camera is quite decent, trading blows with a Pixel 5. I don't care for the gaming features but would love a similar spec phone also with a massive 6,000maH battery.

As the specs are pretty uniform across all three models, don't really see the point of the Pro and Ultimate version.

The base 256GB/12GB version can be had for €900 - not too shabby.

Edit - apologies the base is 128/8GB

Very little difference between the two, may as well save the cash and buy the 3 or wait.
