ok just actually noticed via Deice Manager Ive got an unknown device not installed correctly.....

problem is I cant figure out what it is.... everythings working fine... grx ... sound etc....

only details I have is :

on Intel(R) 82801GH (ICH7DH) LPC Interface Controller - 27B0

ACPI\AWY0001\4&3036D68D&0

-----------------------------------------------------------

any ideas what this belongs to - I can just ignore and `dont ask to install again` but dont like having rogue devices in here ;)

TIA

Got something like that myself, turned out to be the Abit "Guru" interface unit that lets me control the BIOS from Windows. The driver comes as part of a load of pointless bloatware so I choose to leave it uninstalled now.

I have an asus board with the same problem. I have NO idea what on earth mine is either.

Has anybody else used this belearic thang?
Belarc? Yes very good I think. Gives you lots of info. Perhaps a bit ott for a non commercial setting but still good.

I've run it - but I don't think it found anything that I didn't know I already had on my system...so I'm still not sure what this rogue device is...

PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0371&SUBSYS_81F61043&REV_A2\3&2411E6FE&0&31

Hmm....the only things I have on my PCI bays are:

Graphics Card (all drivers installed)
Sound Card (all drivers installed)
2 USB2 ports (all drivers installed)
1 Firewire port (I presume that no drivers necessary for this anyway? )

The rogue hardware can sometimes be some motherboard feature. I remember seeing a util that scanned your PC for unknown hardware and could either tell you direct OR searched the Internet to find out what it was. Try googling this.
