We played against DICE (the developers of the game) and they used it against us....!

If it was an exploit it would be being removed in the next patch, which it isn't...

All of us who played tonight play 2142 every day almost. we are all brigadier generals and know how to evade and attack very well.

as for 1 shot kills....if u get someone perfect in the head then of course ** dead :)

It's officially called pod-surfing

Yes, it is an exploit, (you are using something in a way which is not meant to be used, this is not something that was intendedly included in the game) shame you had to stoop so low :p and yes it is being dealt with in the 1.40 beta

I gave up after the server kept resetting or whatever

its just a shame you guys never managed to get the full squad

next time we meet we will refrain from 'pod surfing'

as DICE said they swithered wether to leave or get rid of the pod surfing ability...as they did use it as well when we played them not so long ago.

tbh...... i like games which reward players who learn more about the game so yeah its an exploit but its about skill as well. I'd expect ppl who know tons about the game to be able to do things like this. Just in the same way veterans move, attack and shoot differently.
 
OCuK dudes.

We can show you how to velocitate or pod surf or whatever you want to call it. There is no hack going on. Come on the servers and we'll show you how we have nothing to hide as most commuinities or clans know how to do it. Whether you use that knowledge is up to you.

Is it an exploit I don't know. But we faced Team DICE and they were the ones doing it not us.

It similar to when you pod out of a titan and get onto your back deck. But instead you are using a spawn beacon. What this means you can get up to onto very high building where you will have an advantage.

Now I can't do it personally no matter how hard I try I either end up end of bounds and die or land smack bang in front of 6 enemies or even worse a walker.

While most of the BFB lot are not pro gamers they do play it day in and day out. So they know the little tricks which help. Same can be said of any other player who spends that much time playing it.

I am sorry your team did not show but there is simply no reason for the BFB players to cheat especially when name hacks, Jihad jeeps, Fighting Commanders are not permitted on our servers. If we were cheaters then why have any rules at all especially as most other servers allow name hacks and fighting commanders etc.

Trust us when we say that no BFB player uses any hacks of any kind, and if anyone was caught using hacks would most likely be banned from the servers.

For the guys who turned up and played thanks for a good match, shame others failed to turn up.

I myself prefer titan so would welcome any challenge but be prepared cause we have several members equally as good but in titan skills.

As for pod surfing its something thats done which we allow on our servers, and will continue to use until its removed from the game or listed as a hack under the official ROE.

As for one shot kills, check our stats and you'll see the hours we've put in and the kills we've racked up. oh and rockets can easily be placed at wrong distances and be completely useless, I've only just learnt how to use them effectively.

Again good game to those who played, hopefully will have larger teams next time.

With regards to the pod surfing issue- i wasnt even playing, so i dont really have room to complain. I acknowledge that in a friendly match within ourselves/dice this would be acceptable but if this sort of stuff were to happen in a world ranked tournament, would it be acceptable?

Have a look at the video posted on youtube earlier, i think you'd agree: its not something you would want happening as it would most definately disrupt the gameplay and give an unfair advantage to 1 team over the other.
 
Pod Surfing.

1st go in to Options / Controls / Land vehicles.

Under Mouse Sensitivity

Set the following

Sensitivity = 10
Yaw Factor 8 or 9
Pitch Factor 8 or 9

Now place your beacon in the opposite direction to the way you want to go. (your facing away from the direction you want)

Then before you respawn press and hold "S" the backwards key.

The move your mouse from side to side. (as far as I know the greater the movement (high DPI mouse works well I hear) the great the distance you will fly.


I have yet to try it, but thats the way to do it.
 
pod surfing (velocitating) is really quite easy once you get used to how it works...here are a few easy steps.

1. squad beacon deployed.

2. when spawning on beacon try and get your pod facing opposite to the direction you wish to travel

3. Using full east to west movements of your mouse i.e full 180 degree motion (left right left right etc) (remember your not trying to go full circle) your pod will move backwards...to increase distance just do it faster!!

4. land....disembark...please mind the step!!

note that you dont have to raise any dpi settings or using S key at all...its all in the movement of the mouse!

Now go practice before they bring out the next patch :D

true....and some servers actually kick and ban people that do this. Classed as cheating. However.......I have been know to do some surfing myself:rolleyes:
 
discovered the joys of the shotgun yesterday. Much hilarity and bloodshed was had :D I dont remember it being this powerful :D
 
Shotgun. wheres that.

I only have 18 unlocks so a noob really.

But I was playing a round the other days got 20 kills :). Medals pins, my total scor was just over 1100 points. How the hell did that happen.

I had a good round on a titan map, I was on top of a guard tower (well looked like it). I was shooting at one guy (sinper rifle) but he vanished. Nex thing I see is a pod coming over head.

The pod landed on the tower I had the knife ready. And look I got his Dog tags. i laughed my head off.

Another go I had rockets but the guy kept bunny hopping. Then his pod landed behind me. Which I did not see.

he had a knife I had my pistol. Pop he died. lol

But I do hate bunny hoppers.
