**Roll Call for all BattleField 2142 Players**

This is kind of off-point but i just noticed (please dont flame) i have a k/d ratio of 8.2 using the krylov but overall is 1.2.

I just dont like using the other default assault rifle or the voss/baur- so everytime im not on pac i just end up playing carp, what to do?

I welcome any constructive criticism, i dont have much experience as squad leader/ commander so just stick me in a squad with a decent leader and ill be happy as a bunny.

THE KDR of weapons is wrong. Let me explain. THE KDR of a waeapon is not actuall how many peeps you kill to you dying using the weapon. It's a ratio of how many peeps you kill using that weapon and how many times you have been killed by other peeps using that weapon.

Seeming the krylov is not as popular as the voss or maybe a support weapon the KDR will always be higher.
 
Ahh, very enlightening! So basically the stats in that regard are pretty useless. I want to be able to track which weapon i am best at using and so on, is this not possible?

I play as Recon (Sniper or Carbine) or Support (Ganz) and I'm pretty good with them (The Ganz esspecially).

But, I'm an expert pilot on BF2 and while I don't have very much experience with Air Vehicles in 2142 I'm sure I could do a decent job of it if no one else steps forward.
 
I'm around till saturday If you need anyone to fill in for practice (ludix), shame I'm going on holiday I would have liked to have played in this one, would have been nice to have some propper team play and backup and also beat Russ to the walker :)

im useless in the air - havent even configured the ship controls.

As a 2nd gunner in a walker ive not had any problems shooting down gunships though. Just aim and shoot at em :D

On conquest im not a good squad leader. Squad leaders need to know strategy lol. I do OK as assault But most of it is luck and against newb players tbh. A lot of players on public servers just stand there and let you kill them. I doubt a clan player will lol so it will be very difficult.



Also probably obvious point but DONT revive someone if you havent secured the area otherwise its just a free kill for the enemy.

The defib works quite good as a substitute knife as well btw. Dont bother changing weapon if the enemy is at point blank range just rush and electrocute them :)

Im fairly decent sniper with the default sniper rifle headshots insta kills (faster fire and reload than the upgraded one though it has longer range) and i can spot for team doing that as well.

Also.....

whats the situation regarding something like custom configs? I never played bf2 but i assume its the same but modified engine but i assume you can bind weapons to mouse buttons etc.
 
So how does Thursday as a training night sound to everyone?


Can people make that plus sunday aswell?

Russ has also suggested to me that we have a match a month which i personally like the sounds of. Keep the old skills in top form :D
 
Count me in for both thursday and sunday + any other days you guys wanna get some practice sessions in.

Also, i second the monthly gaming with the guys from BFB.
 
Grrrr had a very stressfull day today playing 2142. Some idiots need to learn how to fly/drive and cover teammates :mad:
 
im not really keen on playing spamfest gib. Someone on bfb server i thought was dodgy as hell. did a 180 and single shotted me (with 1 or 2 bullets at most) with a voss when i was behind him....

And yeah, a squad with you sounds good. What was you're in game name again? Was it just GoRedWings? I will add you to my buddies. :)
 
yeah i think GoRedWings (did you leave though?) Eraxxion? and maybe Gonzo ( i might have left before he arrived) were on the opposing team. And to be honest in one round we are pushed into our base and getting base raped really. Not really my idea of fun lol. Partly my own fault for not being a better teamworker or something.

have to get voice working properly coz its a bummer playing without it as no comms = no support and no revives argh.

have played with ludix and possibly killer before (in previous ocuk game). Ludix is very good and killer is good too, they will storm right through the heart of bfb defence no worries :D

haha was getting mega stressed out after ludix kept on killing me wit the APC, i was like arghhhhhhhh. Then i kept getting raped by the enemy titan guns :( . Hopefully today shall be a better day :)
 
Surfer - was it a BFB member that seemed dodgy to you, or just someone on the server?

I'll be up for some games tonight too - you boys playing Titan again?
