A basic task, shorten the blind to fit the recess. Was going well fitted the brackets etc and shortened the ally pipe and fabric. But its come to rolling it back up and i cant get it to roll straight for the life of me!

I think this is being worsened by the fabrica connection to the bar being a bit dodgy, it came out a bit and ive got it back as best i can but.. Yea lol

Any tips for this sort of thing? I know its simple but its become a ball ache

Perhaps roll it up from the bottom, than you can work out what you've got to do at the pole end regarding the angle between pole and fabric

Yea its cut straight enough, its just rolling to one side almost right away, i think what mushtafa said soulds right

The bit where it connects to the pole has gone a bit funny, like one end it in more than the other, wondering itlf theres an easy way to put it back in properly, ive tried but just goes back how it was lol

Hard to explain

Roll it up whilst it is wall mounted. If you have fitted it and cut it correctly the wall can hold it far steadier than you and the roller mechanism doesn't present any left/right 'bias'.

I faced the same problem when shortening the roller blinds at my parents' house. In the end we unwound the blind and used masking tape to tape the 'long' side to the roller (kind of doubling the material back on itself to take up any slack that's causing it to roll at an angle.

We spent a good few hours cursing the thing! :)
