Just come back from Alton Towers and now i have a craving to play RCT!

Had RCT1 ageees and ages ago. Is number 2 the best version? What is the cheapest place to get it as a digital download?

Number 1 is the best version because unlike 2 you have to do the parks in a specific order to get bigger and better ones . Where as in 2 it's more open, you can select harder maps right off the go.

Atleast from what i remember, it's been awhile but i did prefer 1

You can find the 3rd game in more reasons for 5-7 quid, boxed platinum.

Can't remember If i had a problem with RCT3 on win 7, however GOG version works perfectly

Works fine for me. Obviously I can't remember what I've done (if anything) to get it working as that machine is at home and I'm at work.

But rest assured it was simple to get working even if it did involve a bit of fiddling.

having never really played a RCT game before, i picked up RCT3, and i just couldnt get into it, i thought there would be a bit more of a career mode, where you had to acheive goals from building a theme park from scratch, but all i found was scenarios of pre built parks. shame. as i wanted to really get into, but just couldnt

Brought mine for £7.99 from a digital download store before Christmas. Cant remember where, worked fine on my Win 7 x64.

Number 2 was best with regards to features. However, the scenarios it came with were absolutely terrible and boring. This pretty much fixes it by porting the RCT1 scenarios over to RCT2 (details)
