Cheers mate, will take that advice onboard! Being a half italian greaseball myself ive allways wanted to go there to see the ruins ect so even if it doesnt work out on the lady front i'm sure i will still enjoy myself!
Actually; correction on the 10 euros pizza thing, 10 being the average, I'd happy to pay like 12 to 15, as it serves as a main. A bottle of wine in a restaurant will be like 20 to 30 euros though, £50/60 for a 2 course meal with wine is expected.

Florence is nice though, as is Prague. I know you said Europe, but Morocco is worth a look as well.. Went there with my gf a year or two ago.
