duck with a cranberry sauce gravy, new potatoes and mange tout worked for me. oven cook the duck, get a jar of decent cranberry sauce and stick it in a pan with some chicken stock, melt it all down and reduce it slightly so it gets reasonably thick.
you can slice the duck up all fancy if you want or serve it whole, pour over the sauce, toss the potatoes in butter and seasoning and serve with the mange tout. you can also toss the mange tout in a bit of garlic, olive oil and butter for a bit of extra extravagence
