Ronaldinho's Goal

Pfft you call them long range goals??

Clarence Seedorf for Real Madrid...Seedorf

I love that goal, such ridiculous power in the shot. Probably could have killed a man dead with that.

The Ronaldhino goal was pretty tasty, I think the chest and turn was the most spectacular part.

Wasnt impressed myself.
Prehaps it was a case of it being hyped so much that by the time i saw it i wasnt gonna be impressed no matter what? Just like RvPs goal in that sence.

Perhaps your an idiot who doesn't know a good goal when he sees one? :p

And you look even worse with the RvP comment. ;)
RvPs goal was so overhyped that by the time i saw it, it couldnt have possibly met the expectations set for it.

If he was good enough to control it properly in the first place he wouldn't have needed to go for the overhead ;)

Actually that was the first thing i thought too :p ball coming in from the wing and he somehow chests it away from goal, but then again i bet he planned it that way just like his shot *cough*cross*cough* against seaman in the WC ;)

I think maybe you should take another look. ;)

Assuming he doesn't intend to hit it first time, his control puts it in the perfect spot. If he chests it infront if him then there is a good chance the defender will intercept it before he gets another touch. His control takes the defender out of play effectively by putting himself between the ball.

Even if he doesn't attempt the overhead kick, there is no way the defender can challenge for the ball w/o being at high risk of giving away a penalty.

Ronaldinhos against werder bremen? champs league, under the wall, pure magic... only he could attempt something so good... i was shocked when i saw it go in especially as im a barca fan ;-) so i was going mental when i saw it roll in...

Mate thats been done hundreds of times, people just notice it when its Ronaldinho.

So far in the thread Seedorf's goal has to be the best, that was something like 50 yards out

That's a slight exaggeration.

I've certainly seen people drill the ball under the wall a few times before, but I've not before seen anybody side foot pass the ball under the wall (and score off it of course).
