Ronaldo makes Real admission

What problems?

What has he done wrong, again it's the deflecting the subject.

He scored the pen that knocked England out of the cup so he must be banned from playing for any English team again

This isn't a thread about England. It's a thread about Cristiano Ronaldo leaving Manchester United for Real Madrid. Believe it or not, football does not begin and end with England and the World Cup - as most of the regulars in here will tell you.

As I said in the transfer forum... Apparently on RTE they showed the headbutt when it happened, and Ronaldo ran away smiling shouting 'Wazza, Wazza'. So that part obviously was a joke and has been taken out of context. It's hard to know whether it was intended as a joke or a windup by him though. I didn't see the wink so I'll have to plead ignorance on that one.

He did go up to the referee and seem to try to get Roo booked though - something I abhor and I hope wasn't the case. Ronaldo has since denied he was asking for a card to be shown.

There've also been German news websites breaking stories that Ronaldo doesn't want to go to Real and has said so tonight.

It's all gone a bit pear shaped and it probably won't clarify until the end of the World Cup.

I just don't know how to take it and what Ronaldo is really like - cheating scum, or misunderstood teen?

When questioned about Rooney being sent off, Ronaldo shrugged and said "I don't care about him. It was nothing to do with me."

nice going there...

Remind me... Who do you support again? I only ever see you trolling threads, not supporting any teams.

trolling threads? what exactly did I do in this thread considered trolling - or are you a troll yourself? I support Liverpool.

That wink as he is walking towards the camera was unbearable for me (by ronaldo). His face totally smacked of ive just done something naughty and good for my team, ive been planning this and i pulled it off, arent i a good little boy Scolari.

While being totally biased, there is no doubt that Ronaldo intended to wind Rooney up, and was happy he succeeded. That camera shot proves it imo.

It was funny when Shearer was saying Rooney should stick it to Ronaldo, as he seemed to suddenly cut short what he was going to say. No doubt it was his producer going DONT SAY THAT ON NATIONAL TV!!! hehe.

Ive never liked ronaldo much, today has just confimed my hate :p the sooner he is out of england the better!
Same here! Almost like it was planned! I'm sure he said "shhhhhhh" just after the wink too, not sure what that was about.

To me the head butt at the start didn’t look like a joke at all, just look at there body language and you can see the intent.

The other thing I was shocked at was Rooney looked scared of him, i thought he was supposed to be proper hard but i guess not.

Also I don’t think Rooney is to blame for getting sent off either, if a team-mate of mine ran up like that id struggle to control myself, he was just unlucky the ref was right in front of him.

I don't think Rooney was scared of him, he just looked like he couldn't believe what Ronaldo said, they're supposed to be team mates.

ranaldo and rooney team mates, get real
they playing for their country
which part of it is where ronaldio stamping on his team mate, think it was rooney
rooney does same in man utd, rooney needs to cool it and grow up
all players act and get other countrys team player going,
blame another player for getting rooney going, when rooney should wise up
look at argies loosing it with the germans after the match
look at box-up with others in other team matches
seem part of todays game, its know you handle it
send rooney for temper treatment and rondilo for acting

I seriously hope he goes because we could fetch quite a bit for him. 20m at least. Hopefully put it towards a couple of decent signings. Park does a better job than Ronaldo anyway.

They're playing for their country, but they should still be sportsman about it! Sorry, but the headbutt sums him up for me. I admire his (Ronaldo) passion, but there is no need for provoking another footballer, let alone a club team mate (which, despite them being from different country's, they still are!).

Oh come of it, he didn't even stamp on purpose. He was being wrestled to the floor by two players, lost his footing and his foot had legs wrapped around as he was trying to find his balance and get his foot unlocked and he managed to stand on his jewels which wasn't his fault. The pushing although i still admit it's a stupid thing to do was needed to be honest, Ronaldo shouldn't have got in the ref's face as Rooney was trying to explain himself and the little wink when he knew Rooney was going of sparked outrage because it was basically like i've got him sent of now let's win this.

every knows ,rooney has a short fuse, any team in wc or any game will use it
blaming other players is not the answer

I haven't been running riot... As soon as it finished I switched to the tennis and enjoyed that instead.
Not you yourself but some of the people who follow your country.

Heh, I've been out in Cardiff and many large Welsh towns plenty of times (having lived there).... drunken violence is no better or worse than most anywhere else in the UK.

Suggesting only English people can get tetchy when drunk is frankly pretty bizarre; honestly derogatory stereotyping is not a good thing.

TBH I think if Rooney had been a bit wiser in a gamesmanship sense and had gone down looking for the foul instead of trying to keep his feet and get the ball (it’s funny by modern football almost seems to punish a player for NOT going down :(), there would probably have been a free kick England’s way from that scrum.

Yep I’ve seen a few fights start for something much less innocuous than that, it looked like he was trying to wind him up and get a reaction.

If that was a “joke” the guy has a very, very, very strange and perverted sense of “humour”.

i think its clear to most people the headbutt was a joke, taken out of context by the bbc

You must not have seen it then.

Having seen it I simply can’t see how that was a “joke” (how can something like that be a “joke”? ), it was clearly something else altogether, it wasn’t quite the same thing as Figo’s headbutt in the Holland match, but it was similar and the expression and body language wasn’t “joking” either.
