Normally I have no interests in the ufc, but having it plastered on the msn homepage headlines, couldn't help but look.

That elbow, im saying it, one of those connects in kind, you're feeling it.
 
Honestly the previous fight was pathetic, her opponent did literally nothing. With both of them it was like watching two girls in their first fight at school, throwing worthless punches and having no idea how to defend, move, jab, anything, it was entirely amateur where Ronda's power just overwhelmed her, not quality(neither had any) just power.

She can 'fight' for 30 seconds then it's over. The other girl was much better but meh, both of her main kicks in the second round connected because Ronda had literally no defence at all throughout any fight I've seen. She puts her arms up but doesn't block with her arms or move her head. I've literally never seen a boxer or MMA fighter of even the lowest quality who doesn't move their head.

Her entire game plan is walk through hits and try and grab, like that fat kid at school who couldn't fight but tried to end up sitting on smaller kids. Women's MMA is honestly a joke, they hype up these fights but there is such little quality. Could Holt have done that to someone who spent 5 years training how to fight with a proper trainer rather than someone who knows judo, nothing else and never bothered to learn to box at all.

Until Holt fights someone with ability I can't judge her, however it completely shuts down any "she'd take Mayweather" talk down. She has no punching and can't break a defence at all, she got utterly owned and made to look like exactly what she is, a judo fighter in MMA where there was extremely little quality up against her.

Mayweather would destroy Holt, he'd kill Ronda.
 
The problem the UFC had was Rousy was fighting women no where near her standard, last night proved that, by putting an equal fighter in front of her, she was easily brushed aside.
 
She has never looked that convincing and having seen a couple of pictures of the weigh in for this fight I felt the other girl was going to kick her head in. It's little more than WWF but with a bit more contact, but contests are managed. She just got managed out of the game by a hard nut.
 
What made me laugh was during the prelims where Joe Rogan was talking about Rhonda as the greatest in the history of any sport. The UFC has a habit of going all out on a "star" only for them to lose big. The same happened with Anderson Silva.

I agree with what others have said. The standard in female MMA is low. Maybe five years from now Rhonda of today would be good enough for a 50/50 win/loss record, but that is it. We see it in so many female sports at the moment, where we are sold this idea that the top stars are something special, when in reality they are just mediocre competing against very poor. Look at our female cricketers. If they were top class some of them would be able to make county championship sides. If James Taylor can do it some of our girls should if they have the talent.
