Ronnie The Kitten

I like your wee cat! :)

Only thing with that knubje is if you get that close to a cat they'll never bloody leave you alone!!! :p

pests :)

This is true, but I did it with mine and I love the fact that they are real people cats. They'll sit on anyone's lap who visits and are generally very affectionate and playful.

The downside to this is that I get woken up to incessant meowing outside my bedroom door most mornings! Ranging from 6am-8am! (Weekends too!!)

black cats are the best cats ! both the black cats we had lived to 20+ and where daft as brushes

scratch post related i dont think weve ever had a cat thats used them , ill take a pic of the fencepost nearest the back door :p

He's gorgeous! I've got two gorgeous ginger babies. They both had cat flu when they were tiny too - just watch out for flare ups, because when they get it as babies it can make them more prone for life. My two had a little flare up when they were stressed, we looked after my mum's dog when she was on holiday and they weren't keen.

Lovely kittie. Claws do look a little sharp (my cats claws grow so quickly despite being outside) so maybe worth just nipping the ends of with a pair of special cat claw clippers - though, only take off the very end, just like clipping your nails, literally the tip.

Reason for suggesting that is when sharp and in the house, my cat used to get her claws caught in the carpet on the stairs as a kitten.

I love the final picture - reminds me of my little one when that size :)

I'm a massive cat fan and I have to say you have a BEAUTIFUL cat. Great photos. I hope you cherish this cat because my cat sure as hell cherishs me.

Thanks :) He is going to be spoilt rotten :p

We are going to take him to the vets in the next couple of days for a quick check over etc, and try and get him booked in for any injections he needs etc

More kitten pics please!

Will be taking some more later / tomorrow :D

This is really excellent. I'm glad you made the turn around from wanting a £300 pedigree cat to helping a rescue cat.

Make sure you spend lots of effort whilst he's young playing with him. They grow up fast! Plus, the more time you spend playing and fussing with him the better your bond will be!

I'd say at least 20 minutes a day is reasonable but when they are that age it's easy to play with them for hours!! :)

I'm glad I am too, He's a lovely Kitten (So far) and he has come out of his shell a lot since yesterday and he is getting very close to me, I've got a few toys for him which I was playing with him earlier, makes me laugh some of the things he does

Good plan. Mine are 9 months old now and haven't had a flare-up for about 5 months. They just had the one that time when they were stressed out by the dog.

My little man, Sam, who's actually the healthier and stronger one of the two, got a bit sniffly after he had his injections - they're putting a bit of cat flu into them after all, which they've already got an immune response to. It passed without any meds after about 3-4 days tho.

Look forward to more pics, he's gorge! :D

Until the two I've got now, I'd never had a cat (have had 4 in my time, family cats while living at home) who was remotely interested in a scratching post. They used to scratch the shed, probably similar to your fence.

My two now LOVE theirs! They play on and off it, do scratch on it, and they sleep on it too.

They have this:

Ronnie is a great name for him i think aswell, Oh one last thing take cover from the claws :D

If off to the vets ask about getting him chipped etc. then registered in case he goes missing. Don't forget insurance either :)

Forgot to mention that he has already been chipped :) and I think we're sorting out insurance this weekend

I haven't felt the wrath of the claws yet :p and I hopefully won't.

Edit: He also likes to walk all over my dads laptop whilst he's using it :p and he likes to watch TV and watch my dad play this bubble shooter game

Going to have to take more pics asap :D :D
