What is the difference between Ronseal One Coat "Fence Life" paint and Ronseal One Coat "Timbercare" paint? Both same shade.

Fence Life: https://www.toolstation.com/ronseal-one-coat-fence-life-5l/p56211

Timbercare: https://www.poundstretcher.co.uk/ronseal-5-litre-timbercare-fence-paint-medium-oak-22324

I'm asking as I started to paint a fence with a tin of the "Timbercare" branded paint purchased from B&M but I need more to finish the job off. As the season as changed, B&M no longer have any fence paints in stock and places like Toolstation and B&Q, etc, only appear to have the "Fence Life" branded one in stock.

I have found the Timbercare one on Poundstretcher's website (above) but I'm dubious if they will actually have it in stock when I go and visit tomorrow.

I think the Timbercare one is the original product before it was superseded by the Fence Life one. The One Coat products are more like a paint than a stain and tend to be best for older fences where the stain won't sink in. The Fence Life Plus is the stain version and will sink in better to fresher fencing and last longer. Whichever one you go for in the One Coat options it may not match exactly as it will most likely have come from a different batch. If possible finish painting to a corner and pick up from there with the fresh stock or you may have to paint back over some of what you've done to a corner.

Yeah it's an older fence which was originally painted in the same colour 5 years ago. It's been a big job which has taken me a few weeks to do on and off. I only need about 1Ltr of the paint to finish the job off so I'm trying to avoid it being a different shade.

If Poundstretcher don't have any of the "Timbercare" in stock then I'll just have to go with the "Fence Life" from Toolstation and hope for the best.

I doubt there will be much difference in shade from the same colour other than one being more freshly painted.

We use the Fence Life Plus but it in no way lasts 5 years, we usually redo it every other year. Not found anything better but since we started with this we just stick with it each time, doesn't stay on the aaris rails very well.

Yep after 5 years it really needed doing again, the bits that got the sun the most had totally worn away.

Bought the Fence Life from Toolstation and finished the job. Can't notice at all - exactly the same shade.
