Roof leaking despite being 'fixed'

By the look of the rest of the lead around the other sides, I'm guessing that the lead is only a few CM underneath the tiles. Anything going between the end tiles is running down the chimney, and heavy rain is backing up over the lead where it's pooling.

There is so much wrong with that.

The pointing is missing on the back. Also, the tiles have been lifted behind the chimney and two of them have been broken. One of them is not seated correctly. The ridge tiles have been loosened and the mortar cracked.
So two tiles need to be replaced and one reseated. I am guessing that there needs to be a new piece of felt under those tiles. The ridge tiles need raking out and re-pointing and of course they need to repoint the chimney. They also seem to have been pretty mean with lead. It's not really enough and there are holes in it.
All in all, they did more damage than they fixed.

They didnt replace the lead and the pointing is ok apart from where the lead meets the brickwork but as I remember it even that was ok, maybe the photo is misleading.
They replaced the felt under the tiles and changed a couple of tiles but not the lead. I'll have my money back off them if they dont put it right.

No competent tradesman would recommend re-using that old lead after paying for scaffolding, far more cost effective to replace it...although the quote does say to reuse existing leadwork which is unfortunate. Regardless I am looking at the leadwork being the biggest offender and they need to actually take the tiles up next time which I suspect they didn't do.

They do the work in dry weather and could be weeks or months before it's actually fully tested by nature.

Had it before and was watching a patch of ceiling like a hawk when ever there was heavy driving rain after it was repaired by a roofer.
