Rosetta@Home

OK update for those who can't be bothered to read stats sites :)

We are position 89 (UP 9 since last report) :D

Here is whats coming up:

Code:
[B][COLOR="Lime"]OcUK - Overclockers UK will overtake:[/COLOR][/B]
 			Days
HUNGARY 9.4
Sweden@Boinc@Home	11.2
[email protected]	13.2
Prohardver! 13.3
Phoenix Charter School	26.3
2CPU.com 26.7
The Elata Foundation	28.6
Picard 29.5
NDTC Rosetta 43.1
boinc.cz 48.2

No one is on the horizon to overtake us yet :)

I hope to get some time on that stats site this weekend. Been a bit busy lately. My Quad is out of the race for now. Hope to bring half of it back online next week, but the other half is out of action until about Christmas - I have ~3TB worth of video to compress at around 1GB/hour, and as I compress some I add some more.

Beserker.... you sure you don't want us to donate our computing time to you??

Regarding Rosetta stats- we've even cut down the time we need to overtake hungary by 3 days....

Since this is the most recent Rosetta thread, I'll post in here.

I'm in.

I've switched on 4 rigs - 1 Q6600 @ 3.5GHz, 1 Q6600 @ 3.2GHz, 1 Q6600 @2.4GHz (must get that B3 stepping reseated :o) and 1 E6300 underclocked  to 1.6GHz (it's my media machine).

I'm after your top producer slot Magman - although, I may have to bring more hardware to bear yet.

Let's have some fun :D

Bring it on !!! :D

Just about to fix one of my quads which hasn't been performing in Rosetta very well at all, should bump my output a bit.

my output will be 0 for a week too. however i have recently passed 10,000 points.. are there any tiffy´s for Rosetta?

Just had a quick look, we're still on schedule to stomp hungary- 2 days. and sweeden in 3 days.
romania managed to overtake prohardver, but they're really 6 and 7 days away.
our daily output seems to be quite steady, so must be an influx of new machines even as some are already winding down.

Don't know how much longer Rosetta will survive as I just seem to keep getting mini WU's which only grant me 66-75% of claimed credit:( = poor ppd.
This was the reason I stopped SETI for a long time until I discovered the optimise client.
The granted credit doesn't seemed to be linked to the number of decoys discovered either:confused:

The way cobblies are calculated and awarded is, has been and always will be a contentious issue.

In the grand scheme of things Rosetta RAC (PPD in Foldy speak) is in pretty close agreement with non-optimised SETI, which is still the 'Gold Standard' for cobblie value.

I suppose my quibble is Rosetta mini. With SETI claimed & granted credit are more in accord & that is the case with the Rosetta Beta WU's. However most of the WU's are for mini that I'm getting consistently short change me :(

Just nipped into second place in RAC but I don't have enough hardware to get Magman

..........Yet ;)

I'm trying to find the time to get my secret weapon, Fred, working (unfortunately I managed to damage the LGA 1208 socket for CPU 0 a while a go, so it is still its on the bench at the moment). If I can find the time to get it working, it is likely to be give me a significant boost in my production (from 20% to 50% increase, depending on the CPU's I can afford to fit in it).

But you are welcome to give me some "Encouragement" to get it working. :D

Oooooh, a secret weapon

I switched over the last of the quads last night as I've finally had enough of stability issues with the SMP client on this machine - must be one of the longest running betas in history. All my power is now focused on Rosetta which should bring me close to your current output for now. Been spending money on the car (just got off the phone from ordering new wheels & tyres :D). If you get your not-so-secret weapon up and running, I may have to consider delaying the new exhaust and buying some more hardware ;)

Gah, I go on holiday for a week and get usurped! :p

Oh well, running three projects on the same sort of hardware as bigstan at the mo, not sure if I will change that other than if I get inspired to knock him down to size for a few days :D

Good to have you onboard BS! Helps keep those pesky pirates firmly sniffin in our slops as we sail off into the sunset with their loot and wenches (baaa)

I haven't had time to do any stats funkyness due to work *spit*, but rest assured it's still updating. I'll hopefully have time when I get back from my week away.

What place is the team in atm? And how much work do those pirates have to do to catch up again? :p

OcUK are in position 85 pumping out 41,488 per day avg
TPF are in position 93 dribbling out 19,657 per day avg :D
