ok, so my turbo is upside down. The exit from the compressor side points at the floor. Thats not impossible to work around, but isn't ideal.

Would i be correct in thinking i can just remove the bolts marked in green, rotate the compressor housing 180degrees and then put it back on. Then, of course i'd need to remove the red bolts and move the wastegate actuator mounting bracket so that it would line up again.

I'm a tiny bit concerned that when i remove those bolts, theres going to be tiny bits that i could break - and seals that'd need replacing. Anyone had any experience with turbo overhaul?

Loosen and twist, dont get the housings on the **** though otherwise you can bend the shaft.

You need to make sure the centre housing is also correct as you need the ensure the oil drain is no more than 10degrees away from pointing directly towards the ground.

ok.

having not worked much with turbo's i'm not sure which one the oil drain would be - i know which are the oil lines, but am unsure as to which is which. is there anyway to tell?
