Hi guys.

As the title states, I have about £600 to play with, and I am looking to get a new case, motherboard and Processor.

The only real stipulation is that the processor has to be intel.

What would you guys suggest? Case doesn't need to be fancy just big enough to take an SSD, and two HDD. Plus two SLI graphics cards.

Cooler would be nice, but it's really if there's enough left of the £600. Otherwise using stock fans etc.

Will also be getting Windows 7 but that's not part of the budget.

Thanks Idleman, interesting case choice! :D Any particular reason for that case? Or just cos its different from the "norm"?

Cases are usually a personal choice. The 540 offers great air flow and the potential for water cooling, should you wish to go down that route. The 550D is a nice stylish case offering a bit more silence if noise is a problem for you. You can opt for a case more to your liking or cheaper.
And yes, you can fit a cooler into your budget, for instance.

YOUR BASKET
1 x Intel Core i7-4770K 3.50GHz (Haswell) Socket LGA1150 Processor - OEM £249.95
1 x Gigabyte Z87X-OC Intel Z87 (Socket 1150) DDR3 ATX Motherboard £158.99
1 x BitFenix Ronin Tower Case - Black £69.95
1 x Alpenföhn K2 Mount Doom CPU Cooler £49.99
Total : £538.48 (includes shipping : £8.00).

You could also get a cheaper mobo if you feel the OC board is overkill for your needs.

Either one of these two looks like the final decision. I may buy some new RAM too.

What's your opinion on the higher end I5 processors compared to the I7 one? Either way one of those two bundles looks like the lot I will be getting. Hopefully placing the order tonight/tomorrow. Just need to consider the processor and some RAM.

PSU and motherboard, from another thread.. I forgot to press the basket button. :)

You must have seen that quick then, i edited about 20 seconds later. :)

A few seconds after you post, the email goes out. :)

So OP, what have you finally decided on? The suspense is killing me!!!! :D

Pretty certain I will be going with this. I have an existing Corsair 600w PSU and my SSD and HDD should be fine as is.

I don't think I have left anything out.

It's 10 quid over budget but I reckon I can stretch that far!

Well, I have a GTX 660 that I am using right now. But I plan on using my RADEON 7950 with this new pc.

I plan on buying two new cards in 3-4 months time though, and I will probably buy a 750w PSU then. Unless you guys know of a decent PSU that is on offer right now?
